Supplier Management

The primary area of focus most closely related to supply chain management are development, quality management and performance tracking of suppliers for qualification and certification of material for direct delivery.  By working with clients to ensure Quality Systems meet business requirements, and integrating a Small Business Operating Systems approach into the supply chain model, costs are optimized.

What the AQSN network of resources can provide is a process for addressing the quality issues that can come from outsourcing the manufacturing and procurement of major components of a product.  If in-house resources are not available to closely monitor the quality levels of outsourced material or assemblies upon receipt, the supply chain can be interrupted and customer on time deliveries impacted. 

Establishing a Supplier Quality Requirements Agreement up front, can make it clear what your companies expectations are for the outsource supplier and how the ongoing relationship will be managed.  An example SQR Agreement can be provided to show the content of such an agreement.  We will help negotiate this agreement with the outsource supplier and provide a means to periodically monitor the quality of the product to be delivered, prior to receipt at your dock, or so that certified product can be drop shipped directly to your customer.  

If the outsource supplier is off shore, as in Taiwan, China, Singapore or the Philippines, alliances such as IICC, Ltd. can be contracted to perform source inspection as your supplier quality representation at the source factory.   In addition to outgoing product audits, internal process control audits may be performed to assure early detection of quality yield issues and adherence to the SQR Agreements in place.

Reducing costs by contracting this Supplier Quality Management support in the critical areas and saving travel costs to remote outsource manufacturing locations, is a distinct advantage in today’s challenging business climate and lean manufacturing concepts.
